Everret [Ross] Cline, age 69 years. died at his home in Hinsdale New Hampshire from a heart attack. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Jean Jones of Lake Stevens Washington state, and three sons, Michael, Mark and Matthew.

Ross was a 20 year USAF veteran who was currently employed as a Regional Sales Director for the Joy Dog Food Co. Prior to this employment he had served terms as President of the Eastern Maine Beagle Club, President of the International Beagle Hare Futurity and member of the American Kennel Club Beagle Advisory Committee[BAC]. During his term as a BAC member Ross attended a Canadian Kennel Club Beagle Council meeting as a guest of the Chair, thus establishing a first time event in CKC history.

Ross participated both as professional handler and with his own dogs at CKC & AKC LPH trials from New Brunswick Canada to Michigan USA for several years before joining the Joy Dog Food Co.

Ross was an international goodwill ambassador wherever he went. He recently participated in organizational discussions with the Canadian National LPH Trial Association Committee during it's infancy.

Dan Kane, President of the CDN NAT Trial Assoc., proudly refers to Ross as his best friend in beagling and who will always remember Ross as a big friendly guy with a gruff voice and a heart of gold.

Ross's memorial service change of venue: The service will be held at the American Legion 32 Linden St. in Battleboro Vt. at 3:30 PM on Sunday 11 Jan.  Donations can be made to  Heart and Stroke organizations.

Laurier Piedalue

LAURIER PIEDALUE - Aug. 9/03

It is with great sadness that the family of Mr. Laurier Piedalue announces his death. Mr. Piedalue past away August 9, 2003 at the age of 71, after a long courageous battle with Parkinson disease. Mr. Piedalue was an avid and successful Beagler, prior to his illness. We can look back in the pedigrees of many of today's hounds to see the results of Laurier's breeding. He had many great hounds over the years, such as FTCH Melody Line Aruza, FTCH Melody Line Popeye, FTCH Melody Line Camelia and IFC Concert Bass. For those of you who are new to the sport and may not have had the pleasure of meeting Laurier, you will no doubt recognize his son, Yves Piedalue, who has followed in his fathers footsteps in the sport of Beagling. Mr. Laurier Piedalue's remains have been entrusted to the care of The Lesier Funeral Home, St.-Luc, Quebec (Fri. Aug. 15). Funeral will be held Sat. Aug. 16/03 at 11 am at the Cathechate -St-Jean, 215 Longueuil,  St-Jean Sur Richelieu. My condolences go out to the Piedalue family. May you have some comfort in knowing Laurier is no longer in pain and is resting in a better place. (Sent in by Mike White.
