2007 IBHF Minutes
President George Strickland called meeting to order at the
Southern Main Beagle Club on June 28th.
The president welcomed all guest and delegates:

All officers of the Futurity were present. Officers will remain the same until elections
at 2008 meeting.

Treasures report was read & accepted.
Committee reports:
Bob Sweet Field Trial Chairman, Bob said everything is going
well anyone interested in helping next year by judging or marshaling please
contact Bob at 802-333-9553.
Measuring and painting committees said everything was going
well..
There was some discussion on the Champion Trial which
resulted in the Host Club would have the option of holding Champion Trial on
Friday or Monday, they would need to let Deb Brown know there intent by March
15th also any club wanting to host the Futurity needs to get there
letter requesting it to Deb Brown by Sept. 15th 2007. Southern Maine
will have first option at holding trial in 2008.
Vic Costanza, our BAC Representative and Mike Serigo,
AKC Representative brought to
our attention that AKC is trying to come up with a Grand Champion Title for all
formats. I think after much discussion, it
was believed by most present, that the only way this could be done in Large Pack
format was through continuous running of FC hounds as there are getting fewer
LP-Hare Clubs and no one wants to take on another trial. Vic & Mike understood everyones concerns
and that everyone was pleased that AKC was looking to add this title. Vic will
be attending the BAC meeting in person.

event wouldn't happen. Also
a special thank you to all the beaglers who brought items for our raffle table,
which was a big success.
Southern Maine Beagle Club
did an outstanding job from beginning to end, we cant thank you enough and look
forward to working with you next year.
